Character
For my Character piece, I wanted to create a feline rogue of sorts - something that indicates betrayal. To begin, I started thinking of character traits and keywords:
With my initial ideas, I begun to create sketches during the Character class. I asked multiple friends for preferences on tail, ear and claw design - with those in mind I started to gather references. I decided to choose the game 'Gigantic' as my primary inspiration due to it having interesting character designs that I was quite fond of.
The original sketches I created and asked friends to give advice to:

A collection of images from Gigantic to use as inspiration:

With these designs in mind, I started to sketch and draw out poses - opting to choose a similar, but flat, style for my character. I opted to chose my second drawing as the primary 'pose' drawing (much like the images I used as reference did), and create front and side view images after.
Developmental image of my sketches and flat coloured versions:

My final design, including the pose view, front view, side view and drawing of the claw design:

I am relatively happy with these results. I feel that I could improve the character's design by introducing more detail or depth to her clothing, but looking at the references they stayed relatively simple with their designs as well.

- Rogue
